The Thermocushion is a foldable insulation material which encloses air inside airtight compartments. Double sided tape is applied to the ends to close off the cushions. This way the surface inside cannot become dusty and the high insulation capacity will be preserved. Thermocushions are used to insulate floors and roofs , bathtubs and are excellent for the insulation of prefabricated and new buildings. Attachment is made with rawlplugs in the case of concrete/stone or with staples in the case of wood. The cushions are available in two different types and in several different widths. Thermocushions are supplied in widths which will suit every application. The Thermocushion with three air layers adds to wooden and concrete floors a extra R=value of 3.80 sq m K/W (U=0,25 W/sq mK) and weighs only 60 g/sq m. When handling this material no fibre, dust, gasses or other substances are given off. This light material is pleasant to work with overhead or in cramped spaces. There are no health and safety implications to using it. When a property is demolished, TONZON insulation materials create very little waste and can (as granulated mono material) be reused or (with little cost) be dumped or burned.

A well insulated floor provides a comfortable, healthy lifestyle and conserves energy. The better a floor is insulated the warmer the floor surface stays, preventing that awful feeling of cold feet.
